Welcome to the Royal Oak
The Royal Oak is a traditional 17th century, family run Welsh countryside inn, situated in the quaint village of Gladestry, Powys. It is nestled below Yew Tree Bank and is overlooked by Hergest Ridge with it’s heather, gorse and wild ponies, on the England/Wales border and the famous Offa’s Dyke Path.
A cosy and inviting, family and dog friendly pub offering delicious home cooked food using local produce with a brilliant selection of local beers, cask-conditioned ales, ciders, wines & spirits served by landlords Dave and Sarah.
Hosting regular events & themed nights with a great beer garden, it is also home to the Village Shop where you will find locally produced, niche products and also the essentials.
There are two luxury, 5 star bed & breakfast suites on site offering family and dog friendly accommodation for visitors to the area, both with private living spaces and modern bathrooms.
Yellowhammer, Red Kite and Willow Warbler, are summer visitors to the skies above the beer garden, and circling Buzzards’ cries can be heard alongside the song of the Skylark.
